2013 German National Champion!

Perigueux was the most successful six year old Hanoverian stallion of 2008 under Joachim Winter and later won show jumping competitions in series. In 2010, Eva Bitter took over the reins and was very successful with Perigueux in the 2010 international Youngster Tour. Perigueux's offspring, such as Perignon, ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, are proving to inherent their sire's ability for the jump.

Many wins and placings in large, international championships are now in the records of this top athlete, and in 2013, he and Eva topped their career together with the title of German Champion.

Perigueux's father is the Celle stallion Perpignon, who comes from a high class family. His sire, Pilot, is a symbol of Westphalian jumping horse breeding. Pilot goes back to the Thoroughbred Pluchino xx and to G-Hanovierian blood. Perpignon's dam, St.Pr.St. Whyoming, is also the dam of the national champion, Placido, and auction price record-setting Prestige Pilot. Perpignon's granddam, Peggy Cup, is a full sister to the stallion, Foxhunter. Perpignon was victorious in showjumping up to class S, and despite limited breeding, has sired several horses successful up to advanced level.

St.Pr.St. Sensation is now in show jumping in Italy. She is a daughter of the showjumping phenom, Stakkato who was a celebrated champion of the national jumping horses with a grade of 9.9 and had many subsequent Grand Prix wins and placings. The older offspring of Stakkato are now competing with great consistency. Perigueux's great-granddam is a daughter of the Selle Francais Furioso II.

He also passes his outstanding rideability and talent to his descendants who are also successful in free jumping competitions and jumper shows.

This power of heredity was the reason he got the Hanoverian "2013 Grande Prize". Since 2009, the Grande-Prize has been awarded to Hanoverian stallions in the important age of ten to twelve, a time when first reliable information about his hereditary qualities are available as the eldest offspring of a stallion can then be judged under saddle. The breeder of the stallion is honored with this prize. The naming is meant to honor the hereditary accomplishments of the trademark stallion Grande.
