Conthargos combines first-rate genes with stylish conformation and an exemplary show jumping talent.  He encompasses everything a show jumping stallion athlete needs; heart, capacity, amazing technique, willingness to perform, and natural talent.  

Focusing full-time on breeding, Conthargos has produced top, internationally successful offspring. He has produced over seven licensed stallions, including Conthinder/Andrzej Oplatek/POL, who was successful in the international Youngster Tour. Also very successful at high level: Concona/Ben Maher/GBR, Conbelleza/Simon Delestre/FRA, Conbalou/Gert-Jan Bruggink/NED, Conthacco/Schyler Riley/USA, Conblue/Patrick Stühlmeyer, Jolanda/Oliver Lemmer, Coraline/Franz-Josef Dahlmann, Tailormade Chloe Star PS/Sören Pedersen/DEN, Call Me Diva/Clarissa Crotta/SUI (Oldenburg regional Champion), Gräfin Andorra OLD/Daniel Wolke (regional championship bronze medallist), Jadore Moi/Sophie Leube (successful twice at the World Championships for Young eventing horses) and Conthacco/Bastian Freese and Andrej Oplatek (Oldenburg Regional Champion). In 2017, a colt by Conthargos out of a Balou du Rouet dam won the "For Pleasure Ring" of the best show-jumping foals at the German Foal Championships in Lienen.

In 2008, despite strong competition, he impressively won the Dobrock Show Jumping Championship with a high score of 9.5 after previously winning novice show jumping classes at other shows with scores of up to 9.0. He then continued his career by qualifying for the Bundeschampionat. Conthargos' sire, Converter, won 22 novice horse classes up to 1.30 m level, was Oldenburg Regional Champion in 2005, qualified for the Bundeschampionat and was runner-up show jumping stallion at the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken, Belgium. His oldest offspring were six years old and competing successfully in novice horse show jumping classes up to 1.30 m in 2010. Their competition winnings to date are EUR 23,000. Maternal grandsire, Carthago Z, demonstrated his quality in 1996 at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and he has produced numerous top competition horses over the years. 242 of his offspring compete successfully at 1.50 m level and their collective competition winnings are euro 3.25 million.

Conthargos' foals are all exceptional types with athletic builds and wonderful presence. He passes on his large frame, athletic conformation,  They fully meet every expectation. Conthargos' pedigree is optimally rounded off with Latus and Sandro. His first crop of foals are distinguished by their fluid movement and beautiful type.
