Check In

Check In begun his career as OS Reserve Champion Stallion and received the I-b main premium in 2007 due to the high quality of his first foal crop. In 2008, he qualified with a score of 9.2 for the Bundeschampionat and collected under Gilbert Böckmann international winnings up to advanced (S***) level show jumpings including a seventh place in the Grand Prix of Verden as well as high placings in Oliva/ESP, Spangenberg, Redefin, Verden, Neumünster and Damme.

Check In's sire, Cordalmé Z, was born in Lastrup 20 years ago. The fourth generation dam, Ghana by Gotthard, also came to Lastrup around the same time. Four generations of the stations's stallions – Cordalmé-Lord Pezi-Ile de Bourbon-Lord Liberty – a mirror-image of consistent performance breeding. The bloodline of this extremely successful bay stallion is perfectly confirmed by the maternal line of Norm. This successful lineage has already delivered several licensed stallions like the Celle sire Stenograph, by Stakkato, and Firth of Lorne by For Pleasure. Furthermore, numerous sport horses trace back to this line. One example is the jumping horse Elwood, by Espri, who was multiple winner over international courses with his rider Carsten-Otto Nagel. The dam, Ilonka (FN registered as Lila), was a finalist at the 2005 Bundeschampionat. Ila was a medium level jumper and Gilana (FN registered as Lady Liberty) was successful internationally under the Finish rider, Malin Bayard. The Ghana mare line (by Gotthard-Dominus-Feldhahn) produced the licensed stallions, Ingold by Inschallah and four Furioso II sons: First Gotthard, Fürstengold, Fürstenstolz and Rincon Furioso. Ghana also produced two State Premium daughters and a stallion by Cordalmé called Corghano who was also successful at advanced level. Gilana is the dam of Caravazzo, also by Cordalmé and presently at the State Stud in Redefin. This son of Cordalmé is also spotlighted as a breeding stallion; from his first breeding season came the premium stallion Checkland, one year later a second son of Check In was licensed.
