Cabrio was the winner of the mythical Grand Prix CSIO5* of Calgary with the young Olivier Philippaerts, and he was named the Best Show jumper of 2012 in Belgium! This handsome grey stallion has a lot of blood and a great style, is very athletic, and combines the excellent bloodlines of Cassini I and Calato, both international Grand Prix winners and well known sires.

His performances have grown louder and louder since his 2nd place as a 4 yr. old in Peer along with his other young horses results including his excellent year competing in the 7 yr. old classes. He was 2nd in Lanaken and Lummen, won a 1,40m class in Gravenwezel, was placed 4th in the Neeroeteren Grand Prix, and ended up 5th in the 7 yr. old stallions class in Mechelen. Then, with the young rider Olivier Philippaerts, he won the 1,40m Odense Grand Prix and a 1,40m class in Arezzo, finsihed 2nd in the Belgium Junior Championships and was placed in the top ten in many CSI 3 and 4 star classes.

2011: He won the team gold medal in the European Young Rider Championships in Comporta, was placed 5th in the Sires of the World in Mechelen, 5th in the Senior Belgium Championships, and did his first Nations Cup with success.

2012: He was the winner of the mythical Grand Prix CSIO5* of Calgary, 2nd in the Nations Cup of Lummen CSIO4*, 3rd in Rome CSIO5*, scored 0 and 4 points in the Aachen Nations Cup, was 7th in a 1,50m class in Arrezzo CSI***, and 8th and 9th in the 1,60m classes in Calgary CSIO5*.

Cabrio's sire, Cassini I was an International winner. He participated in the 1997 European Championships in Mannheim for Denmark. Then with Franke Sloothaak, he won the Grand Prix of Arnhem and Modena and the Aachen Nations Cup. Cassini I is especially well known through his excellent offspring with almost 50 approved sons and many international performers such as the World Champion Cumano, as well as Berlin, Candillo, and Carino.

Cabrio is line bred to Capitol I who is one of the most important stallions in the history of the Holsteiner Verband. His legacy is an outstanding number of descendants performing on the international stage and many top stallions such as : Carthago, Cassini I and II, Calato, Carolus I, Carolus II, Casino, Indoctro, Cardento, the Olympic Cento, Canadian River, and many more.

Cabrio's dam line stems from the well-known Holstein-family n°1752 which also produced the approved stallions : Cadillac Van de Helle, Camillo Star, Campbell, Casino VDL, Lotto, Romint, and Quibble N.

Cabrio is powerful, supple and has a lot of blood. His offspring have size, energy, suppleness and good minds. They grow up nicely and show their very good potential over time. We recommend crossing him with chic mares.
