Bariloche is bred by João Pedro Rodrigues, combining lines of Xaquiro and Hostil – a powerful genetic combination. Approved with 78.5 points as a breeding stallion – score that highlights the fabulous model and superb movement of this incredible horse. Bariloche is 4* recommended stallion at Model and Gaits by the Portuguese Lusitano Association (APSL).
He is competing Grand Prix Level under the saddle of Vasco Mira Godinho. This team is achieving amazing results national and internationally.
Ridden by one of the most successful Portugese dressage riders, Vasco Mira Godinho, they are currently in FEI international Grand Prix level with scores around 70 % and part of the Team A ( international team) of Portugal. They managed a 6th team place in the 2017 European Dressage Championship in Göteborg.
On the 2012 Sunshine Tour in Spain, Bariloche was 2nd in the Preliminary Test for 6 yr-olds with excellent scores: Trot 9, Walk 7.5, Canter 7.6, Submissiveness 7.5, General Impression 8, Final score 78.2%. He has since moved up to Prix St. Georges and over the summer of 2014, he won twice in Ponte de Lima.
In addition to his success in sport, Bariloche also produces beautiful foals passing on his Lusitano type, spectacular gaits and gentle character. This stallion transmits to his progeny not only beauty and movement but also good dimension. This rising star of dressage is at GP level with his rider Vasco Mira Godinho and has scored many podium results in National Competitions and great scores Internationally. He scored second best Lusitano Horse in dressage in the Rolex World Ranking List 2017.
