Cordess

Cordess is an eye catching stallion  who possesses incredible jumping ability. He made his international showjumping debut when he was only seven, winning multiple young horse victories. In 2014 he made his Grand Prix debut and under rider Philipp Weishaupt he placed in Offenburg, Noerten-Hardenberg, Kiel and Estoril/ESP as well as in the Global Champions Tour in Shanghai. In 2015 he successfully competed in the Grand Prix of Muenster, Brussels/BEL, St. Moritz/SUI and Ommen/NED.

Cordess has produced a number of successful offspring up to advanced level (1.45 m) and has four licensed sons, including Contingent who was the 2018 reserve champion at the Westphalian licensing in Münster-Handorf.

Cordess’ offspring inherit a beautiful, noble type. They are very modern and sporty with excellent basic quality, incredible scope, and the temperament needed for becoming a top athlete.

His sire and damsire are the same as Cornet Obolensky. His dam’s sire, Heartbreaker, was awarded the coveted title “preferent” thanks to the extraordinary successes of his offspring all over the world. Heartbreaker was himself a successful Grand Prix competitor under his Dutch rider Peter Geering. Among others, they took fourth rank at the Grand Prix of Aachen.

In fourth generation the Holstein stallion Burggraaf can be found as another top jumper-sire in the line of ancestors. Burggraaf, who influenced the Dutch breeding decisively, was also awarded the elite title “preferent”. Furthermore, Burggraaf collected many ribbons in the international jumping-course under Roelof Bril/NED.

Cordess’ dam Usminka also produced another top international show jumper, Aminka A, who competed at the international level initially by Willem Greve. Now she places in the top ranks of the 1.60 classes under Michael Desiderio for the USA.
