Blue Hors Zackorado

Zackorado offers a pedigree that combines the best of Dutch and German dressage horse breeding through iconic sires likes Ferro and Jazz on his paternal side, and Florestan, Weltmeyer and Donnerhall on the maternal side. He is one the Zack offspring that has a lot of natural swing in his movements. In the light of his pedigree as well as his outstanding type Zackorado is well matched with a wide range of mares, as he is a modern stallion in moderate frames and with three very good and supple gaits.

Zackorado was approved at the German stallion licensing in Kreuth in 2018 as the champion stallion, and in 2019 he completed a 14-day test with a very good total score of 8.34 point. At the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in 2020 Zackorado was approved for 1 year and will now make a German sport test. This year he is approved for breeding in both Denmark and Germany.

"The special thing about Zacko is that you can ride him full power one moment and then bring him down to relaxed walk the next. He will do anything you ask him. He is so nice and so uncomplicated", says Zackorados rider Cristian Tudela Ruiz and adds: "To me Zacko is a very special horse. They all are, but there's something so special about starting up a kinda green youngster and then develop it into something promising - and hopefully go all the way to Grand Prix with it!"

Zackorado is out of a very strong dam line that has produced highly decorated mares and stallions and several sport horses up to Grand Prix dressage. His great grand dam Rosalie, by Rubinstein, is the dam of the Grand Prix mare Viva España, by Ex Libris, as well as, the licensed stallions Dressage Royal by Donnerhall and Zansibar by Blue Hors Zack. This makes Zackorado’s grand dam Rosanna a full sister to the Grand Prix stallion Dressage Royal, that has sire the world famous Damsey and the DWB stallion UNO Don Diego, which has made a stallion line of his own in Danish breeding (Hesselhøj Donkey Boy). Rosanna’s sister Rosmari by De Niro is the dam of approved stallion Znickers by Blue Hors Zack.

A few foals of Zackorado’s first crop have seen the light of day in Germany and they look very promising. They are modern and long-legged foals which confirm our expectations to Zackorado that he will contribute with lightness and modern type, and therefore can be used for sturdy and less modern mares, says breeding manager Martin Klavsen.
