Blue Hors Kingston

Kingston is a highly interesting young stallion by the Totilas son, Glock's Toto Jr. He had a very good first crop of foals with auction highlights in the Netherlands and quality foals that fetched top prices at auction. At his 2018 KWPN stallion performance test, Kingston scored 85.5 and his display of immense rideability earned him a 9 at his performance test. With Flemmingh, Cabochon and Nabuur there is a trusted, strong performance dam line.

Kingston was purchased by Blue Hors and will bring fresh bloodlines to dressage horse breeding in Denmark. Licensed in KWPN in 2018, Kingston finished his 50-day performance test in Ermelo the same year with excellent results, securing him second place in dressage. In a statement from the 50-day test in Ermelo, Kingston was described as a reliable, honest stallion with a good attitude and a pleasure to ride. He responds well to his rider's aids and is always cooperative. He has an active and ground-covering walk and in his trot has good mechanics and extension with active, engaged hindquarters and carriage. Kingston's canter is uphill, ground-covering and powerful with impulsion. He moves with an agility and self-carriage that is balanced.

Kingston is expected to provide dressage horse breeding qualities like quality of movement, expression, conformation, rideability and a positive work attitude. Blue Hors breeding manager, Martin Klavsen, is very enthusiastic about Kingston who he believes is a good representative of the Totilas bloodline. "Kingston is one of the more long-legged and large-framed stallions of the Totilas line. It is a very interesting bloodline and usually a guarantee of willingness to work and rideability, which also describes Kingston", says Martin. "Kingston has a super personality; he is easy to handle and very sociable, and he will respond to the lightest aids. The Dutch horse may not have a reputation for being the easiest, but Kingston is really sweet and sociable, but he also has no Jazz blood in him nor the bloodlines known for hot temper.

Kingston's first crop of foals in Denmark have yet to be born, but his first crop in the Netherlands included a son who was among the most expensive colts at the renowned Borculo auction. Kingston is expected to pass on his good conformation and super performance along with his excellent canter. "I expect he will improve rideability and that his foals will inherit his good looks. He has a lot of talent to pass on, and he find it particularly easy to sit and will undoubtedly be good for the collected work", say Martin Klavsen.
