International Champion with the valuable "G bloodline"

Gavi, one of the most successful stallions in international show jumping, is now offered for breeding. After breeding only briefly, this talented, strong fighter was successful for several seasons winning international Grand Prix classes, and representing Germany in Nations Cup competitions with Helena Weinberg. Shortly after arriving in Scandinavia, Hilmar Meyer started riding him, and they immediately won Grand Prix again (also in Calvörde). In July 2008, they easily took the Hanoverian State Champion title. In Germany alone, there are 33 first places in advanced (S) level tests on record for this classy stallion.

Gavi has not spent much time in breeding but has sired a few offspring, including a licensed stallion named Gavio, who successfully competed in international competitions under Thomas Weinberg. Just these few offspring put Gavi among the top 5 % of all German jumper sires according to the German FN's predicted breeding value statistics.

His sire, Graf Grannus, produced 20 sons that were licensed. Year for year, his offspring such as Graf Gandalf/Line Raholt and Ghia/Eva Bitter have impressive records in show jumping that also include international competitions. In 2004, Graf Grannus became the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.

Giva's dam, St.Pr.St. Wega, was also bred to Show Boy (by Sunny Boy; private stallion Rhineland) which resulted in another licensed son. She is a full sister of the licensed stallions Futurus and Werther’s Wels (Olympic Game participants in 2004), both of which played a leading role in dressage. Giva's damsire, Werther, produced top international horses for dressage and show jumping.

Through the character strong and highly versatile black sire, Waldhorn, and the Grande son, Graditz, the line goes back to the important Hanoverian mare family 33/Agenda (by Agram-Alex, etc.). This line is the origin of 25 licensed stallions, including Aramis Z (private stallion Bavaria, Netherlands and Hungary), Askan, Gaston and Sao Paulo (State Stud Celle), Aventinus, Charity, Saskan and Senatsrat, (private stallion Oldenburg), Don Ramiro (Switzerland), Douceur (State Stud Warendorf), Exquisit (State Stud Dillenburg), Gerald (private stallion Rhineland), Godewin (private stallion Hesse), Laudatios (private stallion Sachsen), Lightning Star (State Stud Marbach), Lunatico and Roquefort (private stallion Bavaria), Werbellin and Wertherson (USA) as well as the internationally successful show jumpers Askan 4/Gerd Wiltfang, Don Ramiro (alias Let’s talk about) Hugo Simon (Austria), Dusty Donelly/Hardy Diemer, Salvador 3/Harvey Smith and Sir Lavendel/Markus Keil.
