Der Lord is the model of a dressage horse, and is possessed of supple, rhythmical movements. He is a harmonious, medium-framed individual of a clear riding horse type. His evaluations for rideability and basic gaits confirm the successful combination of his sire's and dam's dressage genes. He is the first licensed son of the young dressage stallion De Niro, by Donnerhall. Der Lord's dam-line contains the legendary Hanoverian G-blood and stands for exceptional success at both competition and mare shows. The combination of genetics and high marks during his performance test suggest a high rate of prepotency is to be expected.
