Connection embodies in an
ideal way the breeding goal of the modern riding horse. Three
above average basic paces and a pedigree which assigns the
highest possibilites for jumping horse breeding. His sire,
Caretino, competed internationally under Bo Kristoffersen and
Ludger Beerbaum, and ranks among the established Holsteiner
sires of the federation. He supplies equally dressage and
jumping talent. Caretino sons Concord, Carpacccio and Cheenook
are successful in the sport of dressage, and his jumping
transmission is documented by Chandra under Soeren of Roenne and
Ballerina under Markus Merschformann (team gold with the
European championship 1997 in Mannheim). These are but two of
his many descendants successful in international jumping.
Damsire Calvados II, also a supplier of competition horses
provides linebreeding to the often-proven Anglo Norman stallion,
Cor de la Bryère. The pedigree includes Land Count I, Fax I and
Candidus of the long-proven Holsteiner the trunk 1606.
Connection completed his 30-day test as fourth from 29
participants with the total note of 8.57, a Dressurnote of 8,09
and 8.99 in jumping.
