Colander
is a half-brother to last year’s bronze medallist Montender
ridden by M. Kutscher. He possesses three above-average elastic
gaits and at the same time an exceptional pedigree. His sire
Contender, a living legend with over fifty approved sons,
produces top jumping and dressage horses in serial production.
His dam Holsatia is sired by stallion of the century Landgraf I,
who is regarded worldwide as the most prominent producer of show
jumpers over the last decades. Following in the third generation
is the valuable Caletto II (amongst others, he sired Olympic
gold medallist Classic Touch ridden by Ludger Beerbaum) son of
the founder of the bloodline Cor de la Bryere. Colander jumps
with complete elasticity combined with exceptional quality. At
his first attempt, Colander qualified for the 2004 National
Young Horse Championships in Warendorf and the Young Horse World
Championships in Lanaken, Belgium. Furthermore he produced the
most expensive foals "Catch Me" und "Conland" two years in
succession at the A.O.S. Auction.
