Solitairis a jumping
talent with super movements and a very appealing conformation to
boot. At his performance test in Ermelo he received an 8.5 for
his canter and for walk, trot and talent, three 8.0’s. His sire
Voltaire (Furioso II) jumped internationally at the highest
level with Jos Lansink and Emile Hendrix. In addition, Voltaire,
who has more than thirty registered products in the Breeding
Guide for international showjumping horses, belongs among the
best progenitors in the world. Solitair was bred out of Nigrante,
a beautiful daughter of the legendary Holsteiner stallion Libero
H (Landgraf I) with whom Jos Lansink won the 1994 Den Bosch
World Cup finals. Of the small group of Libero H’s offspring, a
great many are very successful in international showjumping
circuits of which Iowa, Numero Uno, Luc, Liberty, Maike and No
Mercy are the best known. Both Maike and No Mercy belonged to
the best horses at the 2004 Olympics. In his dam line Solitair
carries a large amount of blood through the influential
progenitors Abgar xx and Pericles xx. This lineage also produced
several licensed stallions as well as the Grand Prix jumper
Figaro (Leslie Steele). The offspring report that was published
last year praises Solitair’s foals for their correct exteriors
their charisma, and their super movements. Just recently
Solitair won a jumping competition in Vreden (GER) receiving the
highest note of 8.8 for his technique and overall jumping
qualities.
