Rheingau

Rheingau is a stallion hard to beat from the standpoint of descending from a superior sire line and mare family. Rheingau was second at his keuring in 1997 and also second at his stallion performance test. In 1999 he was in the final round at the Bundeschampionate for four year old stallions, and in 2000 was again in the final dressage round for five year old stallions. He has come by this talent honestly, being sired by DLG premium stallion, Rheinblick, who comes from the Holsteiner line 173, from which descends Latus I and II, Capitol I and II and many other exceptional stallions. Rheinblick was sired by DLG winner, Romadour II, the sire of the outstanding Rembrandt, Rockafeller and Renoir I, to name a few. Rheingau's dam, "Verband Premium Mare," Mascha, is a full sister to the sire Marcolini and her damline is renowned for the ability to produce stallions such as Dagobert, Gold Dollar, Lucius, Noble Boy, Servus, Vagabund, Van Eck, Van Gogh and many others. This damline has also produced sport horse stars like Verest, Werra 24, Düenelfe and Ascona. Third dam Pinka is by Pik König.
