Latimer has proven to be a true purveyor of the
incomparable Trakehner charm. His imposing, dance-like movement and
wonderful suppleness, along with his performance-oriented pedigree make
him the ideal stallion for many mares. The Grand Prix stallion Saint
Cloud, and
Elite stallions Caprimond and Sokrates add the utmost possibility for
success to a consolidated mother-line. Saint Cloud himself was a
rideability Champion with 153 points and was successful up to Grand Prix
level. Caprimond, Stallion of the Year in 1998, is also successful at
Grand Prix and has been a great "improver" as a dressage horse
sire. Granddam Larissa, with her daughters Lara and Lorina, were the
winning mare family of the State Show. Larissa is a half sister to the
stallion Liebestraum. Latimer completed an excellent Stallion
Performance Test, and in 2000 won the Trakehner Championship and the
Federal Championship in an outstanding manner. He did so with a
never-before-awarded result and the "dream mark" of 10 for
rideability and type. Latimer also won the Federal Championship for
four-year-old stallions at Warendorf. He is successful to class
"M." From his first foal crop, two
approved stud colts sold for top prices at the auction. His son Hibiskus
won his keuring.
