Lancet is a son of
the well-known dressage sire Wenzel I, by Woerman.
The "W" line in Hannover has also brought forth the
excellent stallions Welcome, World Cup I, Western
Star and Weltmeyer. The dam of Lancet, Stella, by
Shogun xx, boasts Absatz as the sire of her second
dam. Lancet was approved by the KWPN as a three year
old, achieving two 8's and two 8.5's as part of his
dressage scores. After his approval he won the
stallion competition two years in a row. Lancet has
gone on to the highest level in dressage with rider
Imke Schellekens-Bartels. The pair competed on the
Dutch Olympic Team, placing 11th in the
individual competition and 4th in the
team competition. Lancet was the ambassador for the
Dutch at the Olympic Games in Athens. Some results
of this still-young combination are: Winner CHIO
Rotterdam intermediate I, fourth place Maastricht in
the Prix St. George, third place Mechelen in
Intermediare, second place at Mechelen in the
international Prix St Georges. In 2002 ten offspring
of Lancet were eligible for the final half of the
PAVO Cup for four and five year old dressage
horses. In 2006 Uzzo (Lancet x C Indoctro) was
Champion of the World Championships for Young
Dressage Horses, scoring an amazing 9.0 for trot,
and 8.6 for canter. At the 2006 Zwolle Stallion
Show, son Sumarik placed 9th in the
preliminary rounds for FEI 6 year old division.
