At his 1994 keuring the big-framed
Heldenberg was the best jumper of his peer group. He is clearly
influenced by his sire, Symbol, and he impresses not only with top
jumping ability, but also with three above-average basic gaits. Of
significance also is his absolute, one-of-a-kind rideability and strong
nerves. His exceptional jumping ability is genetically secured by
his pedigree. His sire, Symbol, is the last direct Hartung son in the
Trakehner breed. On his dam's side are Memelruf and Carajan, two other
major jumping sires. Heldenberg absolved his stallion performance test
in performance class one. He was stationed at the renowned Böckmann
Stallion Station, where he also was presented in jumping tournaments.
Heldenberg's half-sister, Romina, was in 2000 the entry winner at
Rhein-Pfalz-Saar and was sold through Neumünster to Great Britain. His
first crops have been well-received. The foals are impressive, with a
lot of movement and dream-like characters. A stud colt was the 2001
high-priced colt at the Medingen fall auction.
