De Niro, 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, is referred to
as "the embodiment of the Hanoverian stallion." De Niro is an exceptional stallion of superlative type and
performance. He is a wonderful combination of the best bloodlines of Oldenburg and Trakehnen, with a dash of Thoroughbred, insuring his success as
a sire of noble riding horses. He created a sensation at his
inspection, and from his first foal crop in 1999, three stud
colts were approved for stallions. In 2000, seven stud colts
were approved. Since reaching the auctions, De Niro's foals have
fetched top prices everywhere they appear. A new record of DM
140,000 was reached for a weanling stud colt at a Klosterhof
Medingen auction in 2000. His son De Facto brought 279,985 Euros
at Verden in 2001. A three-year-old colt, Figaro, reached a
record price of DM 151,000 at Vechta. De Niro's daughters are
also excelling--he had the Vice-champion mare in Oldenburg in
2000 and the champion mare and two additional mares at the
diamond ring (Diamantring). His riding horses are excellent, and
he produced a federal vice-champion, a state champion and
several conformation winners. De Niro has 22 approved sons and
99 States Premium Mares. His first foal crop in the Oldenburg
region received an overall “9” in 1997. He received the title
“Hauptpraemiensieger” Main Premium Champion that year. By age
seven De Niro was competing and winning at Grand Prix. De
Niro's performance record in 2000 was sensational. Besides
winning in Prix Sr. George and Intermediare II, he won his first
Grand Prix at the first run, and was honored at the German
Professional Riders Championship as the best up-and coming Grand
Prix horse. In 2001 he won a number of Grand Prix' and Grand
Prix Specials. Dancier ( De Niro x Lancier x Espri) was the
2004 Stallion Licensing Champion in Verden. The following year
Dancier won the Buchard-Muller Prize by a margin of 20 points
and scored an 8.6 earning 158.46 points for dressage! At the
2005 Bundeschampionat, De Niro offspring Daily Pleasure and Da
Vinci were Champion and Reserve Champion Five Year Old Riding
horses (mares and geldings). Also in 2005 at the Rastede Mare
Show his daughter Dark Rose place second in the brilliant ring,
and was the highest scoring mare Performance Tested that year.
In 2007 his son Denaro won the Bundeschampionat qualifier at
Riesenbeck scoring an overall 8.2. De Niro has proven himself
through his performance in the show ring and through his
offspring’s exceptional achievements. |
