Casiro has type, ability, willingness to perform and pedigree: it all comes together in Casiro. In 2007 he immediately qualified for the Bundeschampionat where he took second place in the warm-up test with a score of 8.6, again confirming his other acmade an impression at the Holstein Show Jumper Championships where competition was strong; he took the Vice Champion title. An injury prevented him from starting at the World Championships in Lanaken, Belgium. Casiro received the 1-c premium at the 2004 Holstein licensing event. Although a lot of points were collected for his uphill canter, a spirited trot with plenty of thrust and a relaxed walk, even more were collected for his outstanding technique and enormous ability. His pedigree is certainly a sight to see: He was bred from the same direct line as the World Champion Cavalor Cumano who comes from Holstein line 318 D1, where all of the great names in Holstein breeding are lined up like pearls on a string – Cassini I, Landgraf, Ramiro. Casiro's full brother was licensed in 2007 in Elmshorn and is in the service of the Holstein Verband.
His sire Cassini I was internationally successful under Franke Sloothaak and sired a great number of highly successful show jumpers. On the dam's side of his pedigree you find a connection between the prize winning millionaire and legendary Landgraf and Ramiro Z, the sire of Ratina Z, which promises to pass on especially good hereditary traits. Casiro's first highlights as a sire are highly visible: His foals are all strong-moving types. At the Holstein Foal Championships in Dithmarschen he was the sire of the champion foal and his off-spring have been admitted to several auctions.
