build, with a very racy and appealing exterior shape. He does justice in
many ways to expectations that he will "improve," when mated
with warmblood mares. Particularly noteworthy are his character, type,
frame, performance-willingness, rideability and his ground-covering,
swinging, tactful movements. Alantas xx has a flawless character, always
friendly, alert and stable, and is absolutely strong-nerved. His sire,
Anatas xx, was a winner of over 1/2 million as a racer, being the best
German Thoroughbred of recent memory. Anatas xx is sired by the
desirable Priamos xx. Alantas' dam's sire, Pentathalon xx, stands for
longevity and hardiness. In the third generation of his dam is Fontanus
xx, a noted progenitor of iron-tough performance horses. Alantus xx was
unraced. He absolved a good stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf,
and was especially impressive in rideability and for his strong nerves.
