Blue Hors Zack is a stallion of exceptional quality, three outstanding paces and his ability to collect. These essential attributes combined with a fantastic approach to work make Zack all together a stallion with a bright future ahead of him.
Zack won the qualifier for the Danish dressage championship for six-year-olds with a score of 9.22 points but unfortunately a severe eye injury put a stop to his further participation in the 2010 championships.
Zack has really stamped his progeny. They are noble, long-legged and of very good type. At the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show, two of his daughters finished in the Brillant Ring and Hirten Song took third place in the Oldenburg State Championships. The licensed Sezuan, a genius when it comes to movement, is now being called the 'next world class horse'. He changed hands for an enormous sum and is now half-owned by Professor Edwin Kohl and his wife, Arlette Jasper-Kohl. Another licensed son named Zonik won the Danish Championships for young horses under Andreas Helgstrand with a 10.0 for his trot and a 9.3 overall score before he was purchased by the Glock Horse Performance Center for Edward Gal.
At the 2012 Danish licensing, three of the four premium stallions were by Zack, including the Champion Stallion, Zorba Hojri, and the most expensive stallion at the auction, Zacksu; Zonik also took the Champion Stallion title for four-year old stallions. In 2011, Zack was the sire of three licensed sons in Denmark and one in Oldenburg.
Zack was also a stallion to be reckoned with at the Danish stallion performance test as well: With a score of 10.0 ten times, his son Sezuan scored better than Blue Hors Zatchmo and Zorba Hojris. In Oldenburg a second Zack son named Grevens Zorro was licensed and his Brillant Ring daughter Weihcera was sold at the Elite Auction for 50,000 Euros. Zack also sired twelve mares that were admitted to the Danish Elite Broodmare Show. Of these, one received a gold medal as the Reserve Champion Mare, three others silver and eight mares a bronze medal.
Zack is by the Dutch performance test winner, Rousseau, who won the 2002 Pavo Cup in Holland with the highest score ever give up to that point. He was awarded 10 by both test riders. At the age of 5, Rousseau won the stallion class at 's-Hertogenbosch and went on to win silver at the World Championships for young horses in Verden.
This year again Zack's dam sire Jazz is the highest ranked dressage sire in the world. Rousseau's sire Ferro ranks as 10th best in the world.
