San Amour - Schockemohle Stud

San Amour managed to break-through to the internationa circuit at an early age.  He has a well built frame with a modern conformation and he seems to have been born with the ability to easily collect and a great talent for the highest dressage level. As a producer, San Amour has gone straight to the top with offspring at the German National championships.

According to the current ranking, San Amour is now placed amongst the top ten best dressage sires in the world (ranked ninth). With FBW Sunfire/Ann-Kathrin Lindner, he produced the team silver, individual gold and freestyle bronze medallist of the European Championships of U25 Grand Prix riders in Budapest/HUN in 2020 as well as the fantastic winner of the Piaff Förderpreis. The year before, Sunfire FBW already won European team gold in Marignano/ITA, where Hoejgaardens Santos/Carmen Grønvold Johannessen/NOR also successfully participated. Santiano R/Sönke Rothenberger, Sun of May Life/Regina Isachkina/RUS, Sinclair Jason/Christian Schumach/AUT and Sandro d’Amour/Olga Safronova/RUS were also placed in World Cup freestyle competitions. West Side Story OLD/Estelle Wettstein/SUI competed at the European Championships in Rotterdam/NED. Addict de Massa/Anna Kasprzak/DEN won international Grand Prix classes. And then there is Soiree d’Amour OLD/Kira Wulferding: Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize finalist and now victorious in Grand Prix, Science Fiction/Pia Wischerath: sixth of the Louisdor Prize, Saphira Royal/Stefanie Wolf: placed at the CHIO Aachen, Samoura M; Vice World Champion of young dressage horses, Saniola: German Champion and Stern von Afrika OLD: Vice German Champion.

The number of licensed sons has now increased to almost 50, including champion and premium stallions. 209 of San Amour’s daughters have so far been awarded with the predicate state premium mare in different breeding regions, such as the Oldenburg Champion Mare, Calamity Jane and the 2020 Champion Mare of the Franz-Strahl-Schäfer show in Baden-Württemberg (6 y.o.), Sazou E.

San Amour is the sire of four brilliant mares and the 2011 champion stallion of the South German Stud Books.  Another highlight in San Amour's breeding career in 2011 was his presentation of Stern von Afrika, the Oldenburg Regional Champion and vice Bundeschampion of three year-old mares and geldings. Furthermore, he produced a premium stallion and another licensed son at the Oldenburg licensing, and also licensed stallions in Hanover, NRW and Zweibrücken. At the South German Stud Books he sired the champion stallion Sandbrink. The Oldenburg elite mare show became quite a San Amour festival with nine of his daughters  being approved, four taking the second, third, fourth and ninth rank. In addition, that same year he presented the top foal sold for 63,500 euros at the 22nd NRW auction.

In 2006, San Amour was triumphant premium stallion and top-priced horse-- selling for 450,000 euros. Awarded as main premium winner and stallion performance test winner of the dressage index scoring 9.5 for rideability, he qualified immediately for the Bundeschampionat. In 2008, he was awarded the Oldenburg main premium and won the dressage stallion performance test (with 9.0 for rideability). In 2009, he placed in the final of the German Championships.

His dam, Puppenfee, is an impressive mover and Oldenburg reserve champion mare, who also produced San Amour's full-sister Auguste Victoria, the 2008 Oldenburg Regional Champion. His dam sire Plaisir d'Amour was bred strictly for performance and he placed with the best in Grand Prix and competed at the World Championship in 1988. Figaro produced stunning offspring, like the thoroughbred Kronprinz xx, who prove themselves as tough performance horses.
