Being rated in 2012 as the second most successful jumping sire of Germany, Comte is garnering a lot of attention. The 2003 Contendro son was the jumping Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf, and has since competed successfully up to S Level (1.40 m) under Joachim Winter. His greatest talent, however, is producing excellent offspring for the sport of jumping.
Comte's sire, Contendro I, was himself the Champion of his Stallion Performance Test, and was a Premium Stallion in Neumunster. In 2001, he placed in the Holsteiner State Championships, and was nominated to compete in the riding horse division of the Bundeschampionate. Because of the strong breeding demands placed on Contendro I, he was only able to compete in a few shows, but he always placed without fail. With his offspring, Contendro I dominates as a sire at the Hanoverian Jumper Program's free jumping contest in Verden as he does world-wide in the jumper shows.

Comte won the 2016 Grande Prize, an award honoring the hereditary accomplishments of the trademark stallion Grande.

Comte's dam, Granulita (Granulit), won the 1a prize at the 2001 mare show in Aurich Tanenhausen, and was accepted into the Hanoverian Jumper Program. She also received jumping scores of 9.0 for technique and 10.0 for ability in her MPT. Interestingly, her dam, Elinda, is also the dam of the internationally successful Grand Prix dressage stallion, August der Starke, ridden by Sissi Max-Theuer of Austria. Comte's full sister, Schickeria, is also successful out on the advanced S Level jumper courses reflecting the excellent performance heredity of this line.

Comte's daughters have been regared highly at the inspections and performance tests over the past two years. At the 2011 Hanoverian Mare Performance Test in Ihlienworth, Comte dominated as a sire of the best jumper mares. Out of his first breeding year – consisting of a relatively small amount of breedings - he presented four 3 year old mares. The absolute highlight was a large framed, bay mare bred by Peter von der Fecht-Ehlers. She demonstrated outstanding jumping, and received 10.0 for technique as well as ability. This mare out of A Jungle Prince x For Pleasure dam was also well above average in her scores for gaits and rideability. She achieved an excellent score of 8.5 for canter.

Likewise, with very high scores of 8 and 8.5 for rideability, both daughters bred and owned by Uwe Wichers were distinguished. His first mare received a 9.0 and a 9.5 for jumping, and the second received 9.5's for both technique and ability. The final Comte daughter, interestingly bred over a Grandeur damline, received 9.5 for technique and 10.0 for ability in jumping. The ideal breeding goal was complied with in these Comte daughters. They not only have excellent jumping technique and ability, but very good gaits and rideability as well.

Considering how young he is, Comte was amazingly rated in 2012 by the German Riding Federation (FN) as the second most successful jumping sire of Germany. He was given an astounding index of 169 placing second only to Stakkato who received an index of 170! Out of Comte comes type, an inherent ability to jump, and fantastic gaits. We all wait with anticipation to see his offspring really get going in the shows now that they are coming of age to compete.
