Abanos

A new star on the horizon, Abanos is clearly like his sire, former dressage star, Alabaster. The legendary Abglanz type comes through with perfection in this charming young stallion. His grandmother and great grandmother were both highly successful dressage horses, thus clearly placing the emphasis of his pedigree on dressage. Also apparent is the exquisite influence of the linebreeding to top Thoroughbreds, such as the iron-tough Poet xx, Busoni xx and Furioso xx. Abanos' full sister, the brilliant Ann-Karina achieved elite mare status at the Oldenburg show, Rastede, 2000. Abanos has often been high scoring stallion at Oldenburg Stallion Days competitions and several times champion at versatility shows. He was reserve champion of same at Neustadt-Dosse with very strong competition. His superior first crop has produced many foal champions and many top priced auction yearlings, commanding prices up to 56,000 DM.
